The "Riserva" 2016 was in barrel for 14 months. The barrel aging led to a wine that has developed incredible depth of flavors, and an intoxicating nose. The 2016 version is soft, fruity, and lively. As with most of the Martellotto wines, artful blending is the key to success. The wine is a Bordeaux blend of 60% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 15% Malbec.

Greg Martellotto named this wine "Il Capoccia" which means "Bossman" in Southern Italy. The wine is bottled in a heavy gauge bordeaux bottle that could probably be used as a lethal weapon. If you are lucky enough to grab a bottle of this wine, we are confident it will impress you.
