About the Wine

Portico Hills Vineyard is located north of the town of Los Alamos. The vineyard is sandy loam soil with some limestone streaks. The site is warmer than nearby Santa Maria and cooler than Santa Ynez.

Production Notes: Open top fermentation. Stainless tank aging for 6 months. Neutral French oak for 6 months.

We bottled this wine young and fresh because we loved the quintessential Grenache characteristics.

Tasting Notes: The bright raspberry and cassis fruit sing and the herbal nuances give depth and complexity. There are hints of pencil shavings and orange peel. Drink this wine now or through 2027. Best served after chilling for 20 minutes in the refrigerator. The natural acidity in this wine makes it an easy wine to pair with your favorite foods.
